The learning that happens in interventions is lost quickly without an opportunity to revisit the learning. The book, Wisdom of Teams by J. Katzebach and D. Smith is the backdrop for this intervention. A survey is customized based on the definitions of different levels of work groups.
Is your team a team at all? Or, are they simply a working group, a pseudo team, a potential team, a real team or a high performing team. A team accomplishes more than sum of the individuals. How do they do that? They have trust, the have a purpose, they understand the vision, they have complimentary skills, and they set goals and hold each other accountable.
A customized survey is used to gather input on the team members thoughts about just how high performing their team is and then discussions ensue about how to take the team to the next level. Commitments are made by each member after understanding their role in moving to a high performing team
